The concept of the grey tones and minimum scenery was to create a space between character to make a unique and dramatic flow. The main aspect of this design included the angle of the lights and how they hit the actors. Creating different looks and to adjust the mood for each scene with minimum change in scenery was achieved by using different angles of light for each scene.With the very angular cuts on the lighting fixtures, the design was able to create separation between character and a type of flow that is unique to this performance.

This design included 250 lighting fixtures with both LEDs and Convention fixtures being used. This included a dynamic flow of 6 follow spots that had rectangular shutters.The design also incorporated a light curtain allowing the actors to only illuminate their head as they leaned into it. the light path left on the floor from the light curtain was about 16 feet long and 6 inches wide.
